Creative Writing is an Honours Bachelor of Arts program offered at the University of Toronto Mississauga, Scarborough, and St. George campuses, with Major and Minor options depending on campus. Students produce original work in areas such as poetry, fiction, non-fiction, screenwriting, and comics, developing their craft in workshop-based classes with feedback from instructors, peers, and visiting writers. The Mississauga Minor allows students to focus on literary or dramatic writing, or to combine both; the Scarborough program includes experiential and work-integrated learning opportunities. At Scarborough the program runs four years full-time, with Fall and Winter entry points. Admission to each campus's program is assessed on the applicant's Grade 12 English and overall competitive average rather than open enrolment into a subject POSt.
