Overview

The Master of Urban Innovation (MUI) is a 20-month professional master's program offered by the University of Toronto Mississauga for students interested in urban issues and economic development. It provides training intended to build dynamic, inclusive cities and support innovation-based urban economic development, giving students an in-depth understanding of the role that innovative, liveable, and supportive city-regions play in sustaining quality of life and economic well-being. The curriculum draws on political science, economic geography, planning, public policy, urban economics, and management, with instruction from faculty across these fields. A distinctive feature of the program is an academically supported, practice-oriented summer internship that gives students applied experience alongside their coursework. Requirements

Admission Requirements: Minimum admission average of mid-B in the final year of study. No standardized tests are required or recommended for domestic applicants; international applicants may be asked for proof of English language facility (for example IELTS or TOEFL) if applicable.
