Overview
The Master of Science (MSc) in Pharmaceutical Sciences at the University of Toronto's Leslie Dan Faculty of Pharmacy is a research-intensive, thesis-based program spanning the physical, biological, clinical, health, and social sciences as applied to pharmacy, with focus areas in Biomolecular Science and in Clinical, Social, and Administrative Pharmaceutical Sciences. Students complete coursework alongside a thesis based on an approved research problem. The program runs six sessions full-time (Fall-Winter-Summer, repeated) or fourteen sessions part-time, with a three-year full-time or six-year part-time time limit, and is delivered in person. Admission requires an appropriate bachelor's degree in a field such as the natural or life sciences, physical sciences, engineering, social sciences, or a health profession, with at least a mid-B average in each of the last two years of undergraduate study. Applicants from universities outside Canada where English was not the language of instruction must submit a recent English-language proficiency test, and most applicants without a Canadian or US degree also submit GRE scores.

Admission Requirements: An appropriate bachelor's degree or equivalent in Natural/Life Sciences, Physical Sciences, Engineering, Social Sciences, or health professions such as Dentistry, Medicine, Nursing, or Pharmacy, from a recognized university, with at least a mid-B average in each of the last two years of undergraduate study. Applicants from universities outside Canada where English is not the primary language of instruction must provide results of an English-language proficiency examination taken within the last 24 months. Applicants without a Canadian or US degree normally require GRE scores at or above the 50th percentile on the Verbal and Quantitative components and a minimum score of 5.0 on the Analytical Writing component. The program requires a thesis based on an approved research problem in pharmaceutical sciences.
