Overview
The Bachelor of Arts in History at the University of Waterloo covers historical analysis and critical thinking across a range of regions and time periods. About 40% of the courses taken are History courses, with the remainder selected as electives from other subject areas at the university. Upper-year course options include The Samurai, History of Modern China, History of Modern South Asia, and The Politics of Decolonization. Students can specialize in Global Interactions, International Relations, or Revolution, War, and Upheaval, and can pursue study-abroad terms in countries including Australia, China, Singapore, Germany, the Netherlands, and the UK.
