Offered by University of Waterloo in Waterloo, Canada, BA/BS in Mathematics is a bachelor's degree in Mathematics programme. The programme runs for 4 years, delivered on campus. Tuition for international students is CAD 29,259 per semester (CAD 3,125 per semester for local students).
The Mathematics program at the University of Waterloo awards a Bachelor of Mathematics and lets students choose from a range of majors within the Faculty of Mathematics, at the undergraduate level. The first year builds a foundation in algebra, calculus, linear algebra, and computer science, after which students draw on several hundred upper-year mathematics courses to pursue a chosen major, such as Actuarial Science, Applied Mathematics, Data Science, Pure Mathematics, Statistics, or Mathematical Physics, among others listed by the faculty. The degree is available either as a co-op option, alternating study terms with paid work terms, or as a regular full-time course of study, and a Mathematics minor is offered to students in other programs. Delivery is on the Waterloo campus. The program suits students with a strong mathematical foundation who are considering software development, consulting, banking, insurance, or research careers, or further study in fields such as commerce, computing, engineering, or science that build on quantitative reasoning.
