Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Waterloo leads to a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in the Faculty of Engineering. Minimum GPA: 80.00 / %
Admission Requirements: Applicants normally require an overall standing equivalent to 80% in a relevant thesis-based master's degree, or a University of Waterloo Master of Engineering (MEng) degree with the ECE 699 project course completed. A faculty supervisor must endorse the application at the time of admission, and three references are required, at least two of them academic. Applicants whose prior education was not in English must present TOEFL iBT 4.5 overall (writing 4.5, speaking 4, reading 4, listening 4) or IELTS Academic 6.5 overall.
