BA/BS in Consecutive Education

Consecutive Education is a two-year post-degree Bachelor of Education program at the University of Windsor that prepares university graduates for certification to teach in Ontario, a jurisdiction with strong current demand for new teachers. Candidates choose a teaching division specialization, either Primary/Junior (Kindergarten to Grade 6) or Intermediate/Senior (Grades 7 to 12), and complete coursework in pedagogy, curriculum and classroom practice aligned to that division. A central feature of the program is experiential learning: candidates complete 80 days of practice teaching in local schools, working directly with students under the supervision of experienced teachers. This practicum component builds classroom-ready skills alongside the program's academic coursework. On successful completion, graduates become eligible for certification with the Ontario College of Teachers, qualifying them to teach in publicly funded Ontario schools within their chosen division.
