Second Language Education (Modern Languages and Second Language Education) is a four-year Honours Bachelor of Arts program at the University of Windsor in which students earn a BA and a certificate in Second Language Education simultaneously. Students choose to study French, Spanish, German, or Italian while learning second-language teaching methodologies, with small class sizes providing individual attention. Co-op and practicum courses give students real teaching practice, and a co-op option is available for the Spanish stream. Exchange and study-abroad opportunities are available. Graduates aiming to become primary/junior teachers can go on to qualify for the university's consecutive education program. The program prepares graduates for careers in second-language instruction and related education fields.
