Industrial Engineering is a four-year Honours Bachelor of Applied Science (BASc) programme focused on streamlining production systems and designing flexible manufacturing approaches. The curriculum combines engineering theory with hands-on coursework, co-operative education (co-op) placements and industry partnerships; students who complete the co-op stream gain twelve months of work experience while still graduating within four years. Coursework also develops transferable skills such as leadership and communication, and students may add a minor in Business Administration. Admission is based on a set of Grade 12 prerequisite courses (Advanced Functions, Chemistry, Physics and English), with Calculus and Vectors strongly recommended, and a minimum average calculated from math and science courses. Graduates of the accredited BASc are eligible to pursue Professional Engineer (PEng) licensure in Canada. University-reported outcomes show an 89.6% employment rate for graduates two years after completion.
