The Master of International Public Policy (MIPP) is a one-year, full-time program delivered at the Balsillie School of International Affairs, comprised of three consecutive terms and twelve courses. The program develops transferable skills in qualitative and quantitative analysis and critical thinking, and offers eligible students the opportunity to complete a six-month internship with the United Nations. Admission requires a minimum B average and, preferably, a four-year honours Bachelor of Arts in economics, political science, or a related discipline, though degrees from other disciplines are considered. Applicants must have completed prerequisite coursework equivalent to a one-term course in microeconomic theory, a one-term course in macroeconomic theory, an introductory statistics course, and a relevant political science course. The program is delivered in person, with a single intake each year in the fall (September) term.
