Overview
The Master of Science in Management Analytics at Wilfrid Laurier University, based on the Waterloo campus, is organized around four areas of focus. Coursework in artificial intelligence covers machine learning, statistics, neural networks, and optimization and simulation methods for business decision-making. A data management component covers database engineering, data visualization and communication, and legal and ethical issues connected to data analytics. Students also choose electives to build knowledge in a business area of their choosing. The experiential component consists of two field project courses in which student teams work with an organization on a real analytics problem, preparing a proposal to address the issue and presenting analytical solutions to a panel of academic and industry reviewers. A double-degree option combining this program with the university's Master of Finance is also available.
