The Investment Management Certificate at York University gives students specialized knowledge in the field of investment management, covering how individuals and organizations direct and allocate their resources and how portfolios are managed and grown. Admission requires applicants to have completed Grade 12 Advanced Functions (MHF4U) or its equivalent, together with a minimum grade of C (4.00) in each of AP/ECON 1000 3.00 and AP/ECON 1010 3.00, or their equivalent. Beyond these course prerequisites, applicants must either already be admitted to a York University undergraduate degree, hold a completed university degree, or have completed at least 18 credits at a recognized post-secondary institution. The certificate can be studied full-time or part-time, with study sessions offered in the Fall, Winter and Summer terms, giving students flexibility to combine it with an existing degree or pursue it as a stand-alone credential.
