Fiji National University's Certificate in Management prepares students for careers spanning industry, commerce, the not-for-profit sector and government, areas where management skills drive organisational performance. Delivered over one year for 120 credit points at the Nasinu, Labasa, Namaka and Ba campuses, the programme builds leadership and decision-making capacity for both established organisations and emerging ventures. Core units include computer principles, business management fundamentals, project management, information systems, marketing and event marketing, English for academic studies and human resource management, giving a broad grounding across the functions a manager encounters. FNU notes that no other formal qualification covered this specific area of study in Fiji when the programme was introduced. Entry requires scoring 200 out of 400 marks, including at least 50 percent in English, in the Fiji Year 13 Certificate Examination; students who completed a Foundation Studies pathway scoring a 2.0 GPA, or mature applicants with at least two years of relevant industrial experience and Dean's approval, may also enrol.
Requirements
