Electrical Engineering and Information Technology is a four-semester Master of Science at Ruhr-Universität Bochum, taught in German and English. It follows on from a first degree in the field and can begin in the winter or summer semester.
The themes include shaping the energy transition with new technologies, intelligent control of processes and technical systems, miniaturised electronics, sensors for future mobility and efficient, secure handling of information. Students can use funded research placements, and a study period or research internship abroad can be integrated.
The faculty cooperates with around forty partner universities in Europe, Japan, Colombia and the United States. Admission is open (zulassungsfrei) with application through the university's service procedure.
Further details on enrolment are available separately for German and international applicants, and the semester contribution is explained on a dedicated university page. Students can turn to the study advisory service of the department with questions about content and admission.
