MA/MS in Biologie - Ecology and Enviromental Change

The Master's programme in Ecology and Environmental Change brings together the fields of animal ecology, plant ecology, chemical ecology, conservation ecology and evolutionary theory. Its focus is on the ways in which individuals, populations, communities and ecosystems react and adjust to rapid environmental change such as climate shifts, land use and pollution. Students design and carry out laboratory and field experiments, apply chemical-analytical methods and build eco-evolutionary models. They also strengthen statistical analysis and scientific communication, working with model species that represent terrestrial and aquatic ecosystems. Teaching is in English, and international applicants are welcomed. The degree leads to a Master of Science and suits graduates aiming for research careers through a doctorate or for applied roles in environmental fields. Practical training in the field and in the laboratory complements the theoretical modules, so graduates leave with both research experience and applied skills.
