Overview

This one-semester, 30 ECTS postgraduate certificate is for TU Dublin academic staff who want a nationally recognised teaching qualification. It is practice based, asks participants to reflect on their teaching and approach evaluation in a scholarly way, and mixes demonstrations, reflection and theory. Work covers general and discipline-specific perspectives on teaching. The award is a Level 9 postgraduate certificate. Applicants must be employed by TU Dublin, hold a 2.2 honours degree or equivalent, and teach at least four hours weekly. Enquiries about entry can be sent to the programme coordinator.

Admission Requirements: Currently employed by TU Dublin. Honours bachelor degree at 2.2 or equivalent. At least four teaching hours per week to meet the assessment requirements.
