PGDip in General Management

The Management Institute for National Development delivers this Postgraduate Diploma in General Management online to current and aspiring managers across the public and private sectors. The programme is accredited by the University Council of Jamaica and is delivered through evening classes scheduled three days a week. Its purpose is to build a cohort of managers able to lead organisational change while handling the day-to-day demands of general management, drawing on contemporary tools and approaches rather than theory alone. Coursework moves from personal effectiveness and the public sector's own systems and processes into the practice of management itself, then into human resource management and the handling of organisational change, giving graduates a rounded view of what running a department or agency actually involves. Admission generally expects a bachelor's degree, though candidates without one may still be considered through a mature-entry route backed by several years of relevant experience and an interview.
