BA/BS in Business Administration

Business Administration, offered as the bachelor's programme Biznesa vadība with a specialisation in international business, is taught in English at the University of Latvia in the centre of Riga. Full-time study lasts six semesters and amounts to 180 ECTS credits. Graduates receive a Bachelor of Social Sciences degree in management and administration. The programme aims to prepare students either to develop their own business in an international environment or to work as highly qualified specialists in state, private and international institutions. Graduates gain the full range of competences needed to operate in business in line with legal requirements. Students learn to work both individually and in a team, and they develop presentation skills, analytical ability and critical thinking, which the page describes as important for staying effective in the labour market and for the growth of business organisations in unstable conditions.
