Overview
This programme trains artists skilled in contemporary audiovisual content-creation technologies who can both apply advanced technical solutions and manage and communicate the outcomes of creative projects, with particular focus on film production using classical and virtual methods, video and audio editing, and lighting and sound design. Learning outcomes include understanding digital audiovisual technologies from virtual production to editing and sound design, applying this knowledge while considering historical, social, economic, and cultural contexts, analysing trends and innovations in contemporary audiovisual art through independent research, and experimenting with emerging media to develop original projects. Students also learn to present creative ideas persuasively using visual communication and information technology, to understand copyright, labour law, and professional ethics in client and public-facing work, and to plan activities, meet deadlines, and take responsibility within a team. The 168-credit core curriculum is supplemented by university elective courses and a final thesis and internship worth fifteen credits each. Graduates can work in cultural and creative industries, content-creation and production companies, or continue into master's study in the arts.
