General Description:
Objective(s) of a study programme:
The goal of the MBA program is to prepare business administration professionals capable of creatively applying the latest management and cybersecurity governance knowledge, understanding organizational operations, information security, and resilience challenges, systematically analyzing and solving practical cybersecurity and business management issues using technology-based methods, making innovative decisions and assessing their impact on organizations and society, and continuously developing their competencies through lifelong learning.

Students will have advanced knowledge of modern management, cybersecurity strategy, risk management, information security, change management, and strategic analysis, based on the latest scientific literature, international guidelines, and best practices, and will be able to apply this knowledge to assess organizational continuity, the impact of cyber threats, technological entrepreneurship, and the strengthening of resilience in a dynamic environment.
Research skills:
Students will be able to independently conduct research, analyze, systematize, and evaluate various data sources necessary for decision-making in cybersecurity and management. They will be able to critically assess organizational resilience enhancement initiatives, formulate arguments and assumptions for alternative solutions, apply quantitative and qualitative methods in cybersecurity and management case studies, and interpret results from an interdisciplinary perspective.
Special skills:
Students will be able to apply a systematic approach to analyzing and managing incident response processes and ensuring business continuity. They will be capable of planning, organizing, and coordinating cybersecurity activities within organizations, identifying risks, and responding promptly to cyber incidents. Students will be able to design and implement practical solutions aimed at reducing cybersecurity risks, ensuring operational stability, and strengthening the security of technological infrastructure.
Students will also be able to apply IT governance methodologies, assess organizational resilience, and develop strategic decisions for managing cybersecurity risks. They will be capable of creating and implementing organizational cybersecurity strategies, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and evaluating the social, organizational, and managerial factors that determine operational security. Students will be able to analyze and model long-term solutions that enhance organizational resilience to cyber threats.

Students will be able to communicate clearly and persuasively in writing and orally with business, public sector, and international partners on cybersecurity and management issues. They will be able to engage in discussions on relevant topics, prepare reports, provide consultations, and deliver expert evaluations. The following forms of teaching and learning are applied: discussions, case studies, problem-solving tree, systematization, individual and group decision-making methods, simulation, mixed method, mapping of ideas (thoughts), analysis of a scientific article, problem-solving, problem-based tasks, report preparation, etc.
Methods of assessment of learning achievements:
The following methods of assessment of learning achievements are applied: oral examination methods (oral presentations, individual oral examination, oral presentation of group report, presentation of homework content, defence of practice report), written examination methods (open and multiple-choice questions, tasks), practical examination methods (mid-term exam, exams, reports).

Study subjects (modules):
The second-cycle (Master’s) university study program consists of compulsory and elective study components.
The compulsory part includes the core courses of the cybersecurity management field that are essential for practical professional activities after graduation. It consists of five courses with a total of 36 ECTS credits. These courses provide students with systematic knowledge of strategic management, compliance assurance, risk management, information security principles, and change management in organizations.
The elective part is based on modules that allow students to deepen their knowledge and develop specialized skills in areas oriented toward further professional or research activities. Students can choose between two pathways:
– The first pathway focuses on incident management and business continuity, project management, and practical aspects of cybersecurity management;
– The second pathway focuses on IT governance methodologies, organizational resilience, and the development and implementation of cybersecurity strategies.
Each elective module is worth 12 ECTS credits. The associated complex project module accounts for 12 ECTS credits and represents the final stage of the MBA program, where students integrate and apply the knowledge and skills acquired in the compulsory and elective modules.
During the complex project, students will address real cybersecurity and organizational resilience challenges while completing practical placements in Lithuanian and international organizations. This provides practical skills and competencies required for senior management positions and cybersecurity leadership roles.

In the second semester, students can choose from alternative modules that provide opportunities to develop specialized skills and expand their competencies in a specific area of cybersecurity management, based on their individual needs, interests, or professional focus.
Students are offered two study pathways:
–focuses on incident management and business continuity, project management, and practical aspects of cybersecurity management;
–focuses on IT governance methodologies, strengthening organizational resilience, and the development and implementation of cybersecurity strategies.
Depending on the chosen pathway/module, the program concludes with complex projects in which students apply the knowledge and skills acquired during their studies to analyze real cybersecurity management situations within organizations and develop practical solutions.

The MBA in Cybersecurity Management program is unique in its structure and content, as it focuses on the most relevant challenges related to organizational security, resilience, and change management. The program covers strategic management, risk management, information security principles, and change management, providing an interdisciplinary perspective on organizational security and operational stability.
This study program is designed to prepare leaders and senior-level managers equipped with strategic analysis, cybersecurity management, and resilience knowledge, as well as change management and leadership skills necessary to make informed decisions related to security policy, risk prevention, incident management, and strategic decision-making in a rapidly changing technological environment.

Graduates will also have the opportunity to pursue doctoral studies or further enhance their competencies through various professional development programs.
