This MBA focuses on the management of aviation organisations. Students study how airlines and airports operate and how safety and security are handled across the industry, alongside general business subjects that cover organisational strategy and leadership. Further core units cover learning and development and organisational behaviour and design, which give the technical aviation material a broader management setting.
The course is delivered fully online, with classes held in the evening after 6pm so that people in employment can attend. It is accredited by the Maldives Qualifications Authority as a Level 9 qualification and is completed over one year, carrying 120 credits, with intakes in September and April.
Graduates can treat the award as a standalone professional credential or continue towards a doctorate. Assessment relies mainly on timed written examinations, with assignments in some subjects, set around realistic workplace situations.
