BSc (Hons) Physics with Environmental Physics

BSc (Hons) Physics with Environmental Physics, listed as SC345d and also described as Physics with a minor in Environmental Physics, is a full-time degree that applies physics to challenges in the natural and built surroundings. It reflects the growing significance of sustainability in the environment and the need for graduates who combine a physics background with specialist environmental knowledge. The programme aims to strengthen analytical ability, problem solving and critical thinking in an environmental science setting. Students learn to build models of processes in the environment, including atmospheric dynamics, climate change and the use of renewable energy, the objectives also include environmental measurement and monitoring, and graduates are expected to contribute to sustainable solutions. Entry conditions, duration and credit totals for this route should be confirmed with the Faculty of Science before applying.
