MA/MS in Sustainable Energy Technology

The master's programme trains engineers with expertise in energy technology through an interdisciplinary curriculum run jointly across six departments: Applied Physics, Architecture Building and Planning, Chemical Engineering and Chemistry, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering and Innovation Sciences, and Mechanical Engineering. This collaboration allows energy technologies to be examined from several perspectives at once. Students learn to analyse the ongoing energy transition from techno-economic and social angles, receiving a broad education while also deepening knowledge in a chosen specialisation. Topics covered include how the energy market and electricity network function, how sources such as heat pumps, biomass, wind power, solar collectors and solar panels generate energy, and the wider impact of renewable energy worldwide.
