Child Development and Education (research master)

The two-year research master trains students to investigate children's attributes, covering their nature, development and the explanations behind them, with topics united by the bioecological model, which serves as their shared theoretical framework. Students complete two projects that apply the knowledge and technical skills built throughout the programme, using the department's experimental research facilities, including an ERP lab equipped for electro-physiological measurement, a baby lab, and video-monitored observation rooms. Research activities can include observational and interventional work in families or classrooms, large-scale skills-testing with children and adults, or educational surveys using questionnaires, and graduates qualify for roles in fundamental research or applied research settings.
