Program details

Overview

This professional master examines how audiovisual material is preserved for future generations and how it is best presented today to general or specialist audiences, addressing both the theory and practice of moving-image heritage. The first year focuses on building critical knowledge, followed by an internship in the second year, often with local audiovisual institutes such as the Eye Film Institute. Archives and festival organisers help supervise student interns and also teach some of the academic courses, bringing a professional perspective to the curriculum covering archives, film museums, festivals, distributors, broadcasters and film studios.
