MA/MS in Philosophy of the Humanities and Social Sciences

This two-year master's programme combines the study of philosophy with a second academic discipline, and offers two specialisations. In Philosophy of the Social Sciences, students examine subjects such as public administration, economics, anthropology, political science or sociology through a philosophical lens. In Philosophy of the Humanities, philosophy is studied alongside disciplines such as history, literary studies or art history. Entry normally requires a bachelor's degree in a social science or humanities subject that included a philosophy minor and a philosophy of science course, though students with a bachelor's in philosophy can also apply if their degree gives them access to a social sciences or humanities master's, usually after an additional minor or pre-master's programme.
