MA/MS in Humanities (research): Environmental Humanities

This interdisciplinary research track examines the entanglements of nature and culture, bringing perspectives from inside and outside the humanities into an international classroom. It addresses ecological questions such as climate change, species extinction, pollution and resource exploitation in their full historical and cultural complexity, reflecting the role that human cultural, economic and political systems play in these issues. Core courses connect humanities approaches with views drawn from the social and natural sciences and draw on perspectives offered by artists and activists, building a transdisciplinary approach open to students from the humanities and related fields.
