The one-year philosophy programme covers the main areas of the discipline: ethics, political philosophy, epistemology, philosophy of science, logic and philosophy of language. It also introduces the history of philosophy, with an emphasis on metaphysics. Students learn to think critically and systematically about fundamental questions of reality, how to live, and how society should be organised.
The programme suits students who want to find out what philosophy involves before committing to a bachelor's degree, or who want philosophy included in another bachelor's degree. It gives relevant basic competence for work in education, the cultural sector, political and voluntary organisations, public administration and the media.
