Cert in Idrett

The one-year sports programme at the University of Stavanger is a 60 ECTS full-time study for people who want to instruct and create activity environments for children and young people. It covers physical activities, outdoor life, skiing, skating, play, dance, swimming and athletics. Central theories and concepts in sport and physical education are taught alongside practical training. The study includes physical requirements, and students should be in reasonably good shape and able to swim. Its first-year courses match those of the sports science bachelor, so students can apply to second year of that bachelor after completing it. Graduates can work as instructors or volunteer sports leaders.
