UDST's Diploma in Information Technology is a two-year programme that gives students a working foundation in IT and the computing practices used across the industry. Rather than fixing on one narrow skill set, the curriculum is designed to track how information-technology work itself continues to evolve, so graduates leave with habits suited to a fast-moving field.
A required work placement and a technical project put that learning into practice before graduation, giving students direct experience with IT tasks in a live setting rather than only in class exercises. The programme carries accreditation status from the Canadian Information Processing Society, recognising it as meeting professional standards for the discipline.
Graduates are prepared to support IT operations and processes in a range of organisations, with the diploma forming a practical launchpad for a career in the technology sector.
