UDST's Adv. Dip. CPET is a three-year qualification covering chemical and processing engineering technology, for students looking to move beyond entry-level technical roles in Qatar's chemical and process industries. Building on the knowledge covered in the standard diploma, the programme goes deeper into running, maintaining and troubleshooting the equipment and processes used in chemical plants.
Laboratories and workshop sessions give students repeated hands-on exposure to the same kind of machinery and process lines they will meet on site, so the qualification is weighted toward applied skill rather than classroom theory alone. This practical focus is intended to shorten the gap between graduation and independent, competent performance on the job.
Applicants can enter directly from secondary school with the required mathematics and science background, or by having already completed the related two-year diploma, making the advanced diploma a natural next step for diploma graduates who want a higher-level credential.
