Overview
The Bachelor's Degree in Primary Education pairs academic coursework with hands-on experience in real primary classrooms, delivered through a mix of virtual and in-person instruction so students build teaching skill alongside theory rather than after it. Teaching across the first two years centres on four subject areas, language arts, mathematics, science and social studies, giving every student the same broad base; the remaining two years then let each student narrow in and build deeper competence in just one of those four areas.
Beyond subject knowledge, the programme pays deliberate attention to the interpersonal side of teaching, communication, comfort with educational technology, and the ability to work with culturally diverse classrooms, aiming to produce teachers who are empathetic and people-oriented as well as technically competent.
The programme also builds resilience directly into its outcomes, preparing graduates to handle classroom disruptions and difficult student situations with sound critical-thinking and problem-solving judgement rather than treating those skills as incidental to the teaching role.
