Overview

The Bachelor's programme in Computer Science provides a broad basic education in the main topics of the discipline. It values both an understanding of basic theory and the practical skills needed to solve real tasks. The major is 90 ECTS and can be combined flexibly with other subjects, while mathematics is a compulsory 30 ECTS minor. Computer Science can also be taken as a minor of 15, 30, 60 or 90 ECTS in other bachelor's programmes. The study plan recommends at least three bachelor courses in computer science during the first year, and the course schedule covers six semesters, though the sequence is not binding. Teaching is in German and the intake is in autumn semester.
