Overview

The two-year associate degree trains environmental technicians who identify pollution sources in air, water and soil and help find ways to remove waste without harming the environment. Students study the causes and effects of pollution, sustainable use of natural resources, and the installation and operation of waste treatment facilities. Graduates receive the title Çevre teknikeri after completing 120 ECTS credits with a grade point average of at least 2.00 out of 4.00 and their internships. Graduates can work in various public bodies and transfer via DGS to engineering, chemistry, biology and social services programmes.

Admission Requirements: ÖSYM central YKS placement, TYT score type; 2026 guide: 35 places, lowest placement score 274.1 (success rank 1,164,037). Admission per YÖK regulations through ÖSYM placement.

Application Details

Application Process: Turkish applicants list the programme among their choices (tercih) in ÖSYM's central placement after the YKS results each July; international applicants apply directly to the university's international student office under the YÖS quota, usually between May and August.
