Program details

Overview

This program introduces students to design and the technical side of building. Coursework combines design studio topics, code requirements, building methods and CAD, including both flat and three-dimensional drawing in AutoCAD. Students may earn an associate degree that blends design and construction principles, or a shorter job skills certificate centered on drafting software used in industry. Both routes aim to prepare graduates for roles in architecture, construction or design-related fields. The program is part of the Industrial Technology and Transportation pathway, and CTE advisors help students plan their courses. Related classes use the ARCH and INDR prefixes. Interested students can book time with an advisor to map out their courses, review financial aid choices, check the class schedule and begin the application steps. Details of each degree or certificate, including its catalog description and requirements, are available from the program page.
