Prof.D in Educational Administration and Supervision

The Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership is a post-master's program delivered fully online through distance education, and this entry covers the Higher Education Administration concentration. A second concentration, Digital and Online Education, is also available. The Department of Education runs the program. Its mission is to ready professionals with education or leadership backgrounds for advancement in education or related services. It uses interactive, research-based experiences in authentic settings, with emphasis on learning, instruction quality and how well higher education organizations function. Five objectives guide every course. Among them are foundational knowledge of decision-making, assessment, technology, politics, ethics and governance; a concentrated area of specialized study; and critical reflection on how leadership theory, practice and policy affect fairness and access in education. The concentration is embedded within a 48-semester-hour degree.
