AA/AS in Music

Aspiring professional musicians who plan to transfer can start with this two-year Associate of Fine Arts degree, which centers on performance. It is taught at the Midlothian campus. Students investigate how music is built and examined, write original pieces, and trace its history across periods. They also learn keyboard technique on the piano and perform with a group, so that classroom theory is balanced by real experience on stage.
