AA/AS in Criminal Justice and Corrections

The criminal justice program at Cabrillo College spans the Global and Human Studies and Health and Public Service areas. It prepares students for transfer and for work for careers in the legal field, policing or corrections, and also serves people who simply want to learn how the justice system works and what rights they hold. Career examples listed by the department include civilian investigator, victim advocate, paralegal, forensic investigator, probation officer, corrections officer, emergency services dispatcher and attorney. Students who finish sixty units can earn an associate in science degree designed for transfer toward a bachelor of science. The department chair is available by phone and email for those who want to begin, and the page links to degree and course information, careers and student success stories.
