AA/AS in History

This history concentration suits students aiming to continue toward a four-year bachelor's degree. It builds familiarity with the American past alongside histories from other parts of the world, and it encourages students to understand people and societies beyond their own. Across four semesters, students pursue English writing, quantitative reasoning, laboratory or natural science, and coursework in the humanities and social sciences. A paired sequence in either global history or European history anchors the major, and open electives leave room for related interests such as political science. The curriculum is meant to produce thoughtful, informed citizens who can work with the global issues of this century.
