AA/AS in History

Students who plan to move into a bachelor's program in history will find this associate degree a useful first step. It builds both the habit of thinking historically and a base of historical knowledge. The first year includes United States history through the nineteenth century and European civilization, with English, foreign language, fine arts and science courses beside them. Students can finish online, though some assignments or exams may have to be taken in person. The recommended schedule adds up to 60 units across the semesters of study. A cumulative grade point average of at least 2.0 is needed to graduate. The program is published in the 2026-2027 catalog of Truckee Meadows Community College in Nevada.
