AA/AS in History

The Liberal Arts History option asks how today's world took shape and prepares students for a bachelor's degree in history or for jobs that value analytical and writing skills. Students study ancient civilizations, revolutions, intellectual and cultural movements, scientific advances and even Worcester's own past. They cover major U.S. and world history themes and narrower subjects such as women's history, Native American history, African American history and the history of Puerto Rico. All courses are held on the West Boylston Street campus. A high school diploma or equivalent is required. The program is organized over 4 semesters and totals 61 credits at the low end of the stated range. Tuition is listed at $227 per credit for in-state students and $433 per credit for out-of-state and international students, and some programs carry extra program fees.
