AA/AS in Biology/Biotechnology Technologies/Technicians

Central Georgia Technical College offers study in biotechnology at the associate degree level through its programs of study. The program area currently lists a Biotechnology associate degree and a Biotechnology Laboratory Assistant certificate. Students are trained as technicians and assistants for biology and chemistry laboratories. Graduates may find work in biomedical, food, agricultural, pharmaceutical, environmental and chemical laboratories. As a technical college, Central Georgia Technical College builds its offerings around workplace skills, so credentials in this area are meant to connect classroom learning with employment in the field. Students who start with a shorter credential may be able to continue toward a longer one in the same area. Prospective students should review the admission conditions published for the area, and the college publishes its tuition and fees on a separate page for all programs.
