AA/AS in Chemistry

Chemistry courses at Century College explore how atoms and molecules are put together, how matter behaves in different states and why reactions occur, while also showing students how scientists think. Learners sharpen their reasoning and problem solving and gain experience with the equipment and technology chemists use. The Chemistry Transfer Pathway associate of science degree is intended for students who will continue to a bachelor's program. Chemistry students at the college are regularly admitted to nursing, engineering, medical and pharmacy programs, and some have taken part in a competitive research placement run by the state's flagship university. Classes meet in the daytime, evenings, on Saturdays and online, with full-time or part-time study and starts in fall, spring or summer. Century is a public two-year community and technical college funded by the State of Minnesota, and eligible programs qualify for federal financial aid, with scholarships available through the college foundation.
