AA/AS in Economics

The Economics program gives students a logical method for approaching a range of problems. Students practice techniques for analyzing current economic issues and for judging public policy questions. The department wants students to gain a broad grasp of economic principles and methods and to appreciate how they apply in public service and social research. Introductory courses cover general economics as well as micro and macro economics. These classes serve as typical lower division preparation for an economics major and also satisfy the general education requirement in social science.
