AA/AS in Computer and Information Sciences, General

Computer Information Systems at Chaffey College prepares students for employment or for transfer into related four-year programs. An associate of science is offered, along with a cybersecurity degree and a range of shorter certificates. Many certificates are stackable, so each one completed counts toward the associate degree. Topics covered by the certificates include computer foundations, game development, programming foundations, networking, project management and web development. The page notes that courses align with an online cybersecurity bachelor's program at CSU San Marcos. Counselors are available face to face, virtually or over the phone to help students plan their classes, and the department lists its coordinator and faculty contacts. Prospective students can review the available awards on the department page and get in touch with the listed faculty before applying to Chaffey College, a community college in southern California.
