BA/BS in Chemistry

The chemistry major treats chemistry as a path to discovery in medicine, energy, food, materials and technology. Students gain a rigorous grounding in the chemical sciences through laboratory work, undergraduate research and close mentoring from faculty. Graduates are prepared for industry, medical or pharmacy school, graduate research or scientific leadership, with a commitment to both excellence and Christian integrity. Faculty regularly present research at national chemical education conferences and publish in scholarly journals. An MBA Fast Track lets students earn a bachelor's degree and an MBA in a shorter time by sharing credits. The degree carries a STEM designation, and careers include chemist, research scientist and laboratory analyst. Modern laboratories and personalized mentoring give students practical experience with instruments and methods, and they leave ready to contribute in the lab or to continue in advanced scientific training.
