MA/MS in Curriculum and Instruction

This campus-based graduate degree serves educators seeking advanced study of teaching and learning. Students complete thirty or thirty-six semester hours beyond the bachelor's degree, depending on the specialization they select. Specializations range from curriculum development and elementary instruction to English, mathematics, science and social studies education, along with learning technologies. A maximum of six graduate semester hours taken elsewhere may transfer into the degree. Prospective students can contact the program for guidance on choosing a specialization. Online versions are offered separately through FIU Online, for curriculum development and for elementary education. The Department of Teaching and Learning runs the program and provides a program director and an office that answers questions from prospective students. Students complete the degree in a classroom-based setting.
