The Cyber Security Engineering BS teaches students to design, analyse and build systems that stay resilient against cyber threats across physical, computing and network infrastructure. It builds security into the engineering process from the earliest design stages.
The curriculum rests on core math, science and engineering and builds skills to identify, assess and reduce risk. Students take part in laboratory experiments, modelling and simulation, and multidisciplinary capstone projects tied to fields including transportation, power, health care, finance, government and defence. ABET's engineering commission accredits the program.
Prospective undergraduates should review the full degree requirements in the George Mason University catalog, which lists the courses, policies and any concentrations, and speak with an academic advisor early to plan a path that fits their interests and timeline.
