MA/MS in Communication Disorders Sciences and Services

Assessing, diagnosing, treating and preventing communication disorders in both children and adults is the training provided by this demanding graduate program. It prepares students to enter the profession of speech-language pathology. One distinctive choice shapes the experience: the program does not operate a clinic of its own. Instead, practicum placements take place across a network of more than 150 sites, including medical facilities and schools. Students therefore gain varied professional experience away from campus. Study can be arranged on a full-time or part-time basis, and each student follows an individualized plan. That flexibility helps people balance coursework with other responsibilities. The degree appeals to those who want exposure to many clinical settings and populations, and who value the chance to learn alongside practitioners working in real-world environments across the region.
