AA/AS in Engineering Science

This associate in science covers the mathematics, science and engineering fundamentals that make up the opening years of a bachelor's engineering degree. It is meant for students who plan to transfer to a four-year school and finish there. Electives allow students to sample a sub-discipline that suits their interests, ranging from civil and environmental work to electrical, computer or mechanical engineering and beyond. Advisors can adjust the elective choices to fit the transfer requirements of a particular college. The college participates in a consortium agreement with UMass Amherst, Western New England University and other institutions to make transfer easier. Past graduates have continued at UMass, Northeastern, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Worcester Polytechnic Institute and elsewhere. Most engineering jobs require a bachelor's degree.
